I learned about the HBO production of the The Pacific a couple of years ago and thought the project fell through. Well apparently it hasn’t and it looks to be debuting sometimes next year.

If anyone remembers the serialization of Band of Brothers there was nothing was better than going home Sunday night and watching a well thought-out World War II drama. The Pacific, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, will be a 10-hour mini-series that continues the same tradition focusing on the Pacific Theater seen through the eyes of three U.S. Marines.

I guess I have to re-subscribe to HBO for a couple of months.
