Ron Domingue (b. 1974)
I am a Louisiana based design technologist and illustrator. I majored in Fine Art and History at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1992-96. I studied drawing under printmaker Tom Secrest and my history concentration focused on Ancient World, Nazi Germany and collapse of Europe (1914-45).
I provide design solutions for improving user experience for websites and mobile-based platforms. I understand and embrace typography as a catalyst for delivering information and the means in which it facilitates usability in a variety of media.
I help clients migrate to current web standards for accessibility and scalable content. I improve their search engine optimization using efficient strategies. I consult with businesses to utilize social media marketing for enhancing customer relations and a proponent of emerging open source technologies namely WordPress, Joomla, and Flex.
In my past life I worked for and with several comic book companies, several web firms, several advertising agencies, a print service bureau, a publishing company, and a newspaper.
Currently a web designer for the largest jewelry manufacturer and wholesaler in North America.
I am a member of the Acadiana Adobe User Group, involved with the New Orleans chapter of AIGA and still doing occasional projects of illustration and graphic design.
I have an Associated Press award for graphics and illustration, a Louisiana Press Association Award for Information Graphics and an Ad Federation award for logo design.
